Our story

It started with one phone call a day.

In 2012, Colin and Paul Hammond built Iamfine.com for their mother Isobel, who chose to live independently in Florida — a simple way to know she was okay every day without hovering. She's 100 now, still living on her own, and still checking in every morning.

ResidentCheckin.co is the facility version of that same idea — now with passive sensor coverage layered on top of the daily call.

Every resident gets a daily wellness check by an automated call, text, or Alexa — in their language. Answer, press 1, done. Add optional passive sensors and most mornings a quiet sensor confirms they're well, so the call only goes out when it's needed.

When it's more than a check-in

When something needs attention, it shows up at the top.

Not every reply is a clean "OK." When a resident texts something off-pattern — uncertain, or asking for help — it surfaces on your dashboard so staff can act.

🔴 Urgent

"Not feeling well," "I need help," "dizzy," or "hurt" trigger an immediate alert — email and SMS, a red-bordered card, and an automated reply confirming staff got the message.

🟠 Review

Off-pattern replies get a quiet amber card. Unhandled within an hour, one follow-up email goes out, then the daily summary. No alert fatigue.

Every flagged message has a one-click "Mark Handled" button, logged to history.
